MFI for my 2.4 or New 3.0
Im in a bit of a perdicument and carnt make my mind up what to do. Ive been looking at upgrading my 2.4 engine with new throttle bodies from TWM and a megasquirt ECUto convert it to EFI. While ive been looking into this I stumbled across a euro 3.0 engine with only 59k on the clock at a breakers yard and now I carnt make my mind up wich to go for, if I got the 3.0 eventually I would want to go with EFI anyway but could put up with the CIS untill I save up enough cash to conver it!
If I sold my engine here in the UK id proberbly get about £1500 for it, the 3.0 is £3500 so id need 2k which is what the EFI setup for my 2.4 was going to cost or there abouts. Any advice guys I carnt decide????? Also whats the thing about how many holes the SC engines have in the fly wheel ive seen some people posting about the fly wheels having different amounts of bolts? Thanks Steve |

Thats what I carnt get away from thinking the MFI setup would be nice but at the end of the day a bigger newer engine with stronger casr has got more potential and less hassel for the future.
Any ideas about the fly wheel thing? |

I went from a 2.4S to a C3, for everyday use the C3 wins, hands down. If it was a litewt track only car w/ a track trans then the 2.7MFI would be attractive.

I did the MFI my 2.7 or go 3.0 debate and went to a C3 and it is great for a everyday car. MFI sounds pretty interesting, but the number of moving parts and linkage scares me.

Save the MFI bits...even being from a T they are valuable these days.

If I did opt for the 3.0 will I still be able to keep my 72 oil tank or will I need the later one to be able to add the front oil cooler?
