brake pad quiry
i just got my new set of ferodo DS2500 brake pads and noticed they did not have the adhesIve/cushion patch on the back. i am concerned they will generate a lot of brake noise w/o the cushion/adhesIve deal on the back side.
my last set of ferodo pads had the cushion on the back and as i pulled the pad in and out a couple times the adhesIve no longer would stick to the caliper piston. as soon as this happened the brakes started to make a lot of noise. i don't suspect it was the pad against rotor that created the noise, because when i applied the brake ever so slightly the squeak would stop. i have gotten pads for other cars that have the cushion deal in the box and you adhere it to the pad prior to assembly. i was thinking of looking for such a deal to apply to these pads. i also wondered if these, because they are a more track type pad than Ive had in the past is the cushion not there due to the anticipated higher brake temps? any insight and experience would be bueno.

Not to worry, they are not necessary, keep them clean and they will be reasonably quiet
