Carrera Heat Back date with Auto control??
For those that have done the heat back date on Carreras what happens to the auto heat? Does it still get used at all?
I am confused on what remains - seach leaves me more confused. Does the back date still retain the temp prob on the roof? Did anyone get the correct resistor for the foot well blowers? Thanks - -Jeff

My 84 still uses the auto heat. I have the 10 positon one, not the 3 position one. My footwell blowers work fine with no resistor to replace the rear fan. I have not heard of anyone else who has been as lucky, most of the times the footwell blowers won't work without some rewiring. Strangely, my wiring looks all factory original.

The autoheat connects to the 2 chassis spill valves,The heat backdate is upstream, it doesn't care what is happening before the spill valves in the system.
