Problem with Clewett plug wires on dual plug.

I've got Clewett spark plug wires for my engine and I can't get them to work on the lower plugs without removing the dust covers. Anyone have a similar problem? I guess the area is open since there's fins on the heads so I could leave the covers off but I told them they are for a dual plug system.

I had no problem getting my set to fit.

did you have the heads machined for 12mm or 14mm plugs?

I have found a 14mm plug with a 5/8 hex so its a bit easier to manipulate the wrench whilst installing the lower plugs

oops mah bad, I have magnecore wires

I have 12mm lower plugs, that may be the problem since they're a bit shorter. I guess I'll live with what I got, but heads up for everyone else.

I'm getting close to trial fitting the engine so I can build the intercooler. I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm also backtracking on a couple items. I've decided not to mess with changing the R&P or other gears. I'll wait until I see where the powerband is. I'm also thinking about not upgrading to the K27HF2S yet. I'm worried the B&B header that came on the car may fail and damage a new turbo. Rather than speed $2K for a new exhaust, I'd rather build my own with Burns collectors. So I'm working on just getting it up and running with the EFI.

If got a set of Clewetts and the main wire had the wrong connector. Called Clewett and he responded right away with a replacement. Also use dialectic grease on the plug ends, it gives a better feel when you got them clicked on the spark plug. I am pleased with my set.

I called Clewett and they said they'd make it right. I'll pull an upper and lower plug tonight and see how different they are. They said they could get me custom length plug caps if needed.
