Fluidyne front Oil Cooler How to install?
I have a Fluidyne oil cooler which i would like to install in my car. I have a '76 with a 3.6 (993) engine. I heard that some people are running this coolers, but i am not finding a way to make it fit under my C2 front bumper?
has anyone installed one of this before? Any hints, pics, etc?? Thanks a lot

What type of coolers are those?
Also, the bumper bar is it a stock piece? Thanks

Oil coolers are Mocal with -12 fittings...yes, the bumper bar is the stock item.

The problem is that the Fluidyne seems to be much wider. How much of a gap should I leave between the cooler and the panel where it is mounted?

Thats a per isnstallation decision
When I did my B&B we mocked it up so that the cooler was as far forward into the spoiler as possible. Turned out that the spoiler itself was used as the lower mount and some tabs were welded to the chassis for the top. You'll need to mock it up, do a trial fit, measure then weld and install. It will help cooling to seal around the edges and have a reasonably large exit space. Muffinman(Rob Fussi) put a bigger B&B and had to use an RSR type pan inthe spare wheel well Rob's install is detailed here
