TRE finished my SWB.....2 pics

Here ya go.......

She is Done!!!! I am sooo happy I kept the color......Also added bonus.....Even though not period correct, the Black Fuchs 15x7s go really great with the paint and the black Grill worx now too ;-) But I love the gold letters with my paint.....Does she look mean and classy at the same time or what !? yeah....under the hood is a spankin' 3.0SC with weber carbs, sc brakes / suspension .....Kept the 901 trannie.

Check those big ass wheels...really "RollerScate" look...I love it...I pick her up tommorow noon......(i'm hoping 0-60 will be in the mid/upper 5sec range)

I'd be careful about the 0-60 runs with the 901 tranny (or even a 915 for that matter). These old gearboxes weren't made for slamming gears under full acceleration. Your tranny will thank you and reward you with long life if you baby it.

I'm staring at it right now up on the lift.

I played a small part in the build. I did the rear suspension, ride height, and corner balanced it. Oh, and I drilled the holes and installed all the decklid letters and the decklid itself. She looks pretty badass!

I'd really like to see it get an aluminum grille, and early finish on the Fuchs though. But at least they match each other right now. It'd just be more of a sleeper, and more period correct with the right finish on the wheels and grille. But I know all about budgets!

If you think you're psyched now, wait until you drive it!

I think it looks great. All that torque in a bantam weight 911. Should be a TON of fun. Enjoy it!

You go, boyeee! Last time I saw your SWB, it had half its body parts missing IIRC. Darn, and I was gonna' stop by TRE today to talk torsion bars with Tyson. I could have seen that thing in the flesh.

You certainly have to bring it on the next Mulholland run...whenever that will be...

Steve,
Are you keeping the stock parts so you may restore this some day?

Just curious..........

Thanks guys! SvK picked up the car about an hour ago and is on his way back home. We went for a little spurt on our "test track" in the neighborhood. I think Steve was impressed at the new combo of cornering, accelerating, and stopping. Yeah and the car looks pretty good too- definitely has attitude now!
