What Porsche 911 color would you choose ??

On a 1973 911 sunroof coupe with black interior, what color is better: porsche dark green or silver metallic ?
Car is missing color tag, but engine compartment looks like faded silver metallic. - outside is now emerald green metallic.

If you are in the market for one, which one would you choose????

thanks, harold

I'd get a kardex and find the original color.

Man...if I had to choose from just those two colors I would have to pick silver. If I could choose a fresh color I would want that dark burgandy color...mmmmm. My favorite color on the Porsches.

Dark green would be more unique on an early car. But silver would look more "right" and never gets tiresome. Yeah, between the two, I'd pick silver.

Since you have an early car, I would keep it Emerald(Viper) Green, either that or paint it Lime Green, Leaf Green, Aubergine , Bahia Red, or Tangerine .
Here are some colors that are period correct for your 911.

If its originally silver I'd go with a QUALITY respray in its original color. I'm with Scott all the way, get a Kardex so you know for sure.

Having said all that? THIS is an awesome early car, I LOVE Irish Green

Good luck, whatever you choose...and post pix when its done!

As long as it's not GUARD RED.

I sort of partial to Platinum Metallic or Jet Black

Green looks terrific with a tan interior, but not with black IMO. Go silver.

Go green! Irish, Emerald, Viper, Leaf (I'm biased), Conda or Signal are all great and real attention getters.

Out of the colors you listed, metallic silver would be my favorite.

My 70 will be either brought back to it's original Signal Orange with a black interior, or maybe I'll go with Albert Blau... it's a tough choice, and these dang Porsches look so damn good in ANY color!

Harold, in this case, I would suggest Lemon Yellow....
