Search the web my friend! Look what you can find.... I did a Google search with "mahle oil filter" and eventually found Mahle's main page. Further searching on their pages got me to the aftermarket section and I found this
http://217.89.113.25/mahle/start.jsp?folder=mahleFilter&sessionClear=true type in the filter number (like oc75) and click on search and it tells you the OE application under the vehicle tab page. The default page that pops up when you click search is the filter dimensions, so then choose the vehicle tab right next to the product information tab. When you type in OC142 you'll find it's for 924, 944, 968 cars. I'm guessing you're best sticking with the OC 75. If it was a reasonable interchange Porsche would have done it and used the same filter for both cars? Not only does the bigger filter hold and filter more oil, it might have a thicker casing to withstand higher oil pressures, or have a different internal structure like bypass valve spring rate or something like that.
