Porsche postpones ALMS LMP2 debut
According to Speed Channel website Porsche has announced they are postponing the debut of their LMP2 car at the Petit Lemans race at Road Atlanta to possibly the end of the year race at Laguna Seca. I'll still go to the Road Atlanta race but I'm not as interested as I was.

Boy, I hope not. I too, wanted to see the Porsche car at the Petit, but I still might go to the race because I havent been there before, and I need a road trip that time of year.

According to the article Porsche is happy with the speed of the car but not with the reliability. I can't blame them for being cautious the auto world is watching and failure is probably not an option. I guess I'll have to wait until Sebring next year to see it in person.

I wonder if Porsche or Penske pulled the plug for the Petite? Is this V8 based on anything or a clean sheet of paper? How about the trans....Porsche or Hewland?
