Earlier this week I though I had a bad ignition switch... but the ign lock cylinder broke the tab that turns the switch.
From tha picture I just saw on DCautomotives site It looks like the part that broke off inside the ignition electrical switch is part of the lock cylinder.. is that correct? Here is a used one... Take a look: http://www.dcautomotive.com/images/webcart/pics/ura00001.JPG Here's the thread with pics of my broken lock cyl tab that turns the elect. portion.. WTB Ignition Lock Assy ASAP!!

Sure looks like it. It happened to me...not fun nor cheap to remedy. You'll need a new one which means a new key which means two keys, one for the door and one for the ignition....or you could get everything redone to keep the one key effect. OR...you could install a master switch and starter button....very race car like...and costs less

You wont need two keys if you take it to a locksmith and have it keyed to your existing key. Abt $40
