Anyone?

I'm modifying a 930 ring gear, and I want to verify that I just need to drill 3 holes to clear the pressure plate retaining tabs...

some public libraries have collections of these things on CD-ROM or on-line

if nobody posts, I'd bet a big library like the Chicago one would have it.

good luck!

Souk;

Here's the text of the bulletin:

The three 13.5mm drillings on the starter gear, Part Number 930 116 230 02, were omitted as of production date: May 27, 1986, Engine Number 62 G 0 1314.

Only new style ring gears are available as spare parts.

In case of starter gear replacement on older cars, these drillings are necessary only on 1976 and 1977 model vehicles. The new gear has to be reworked accordingly.

Hope this is helpful,
JR

Yep! That's good. I figured that's all there was to it. I drilled the holes for the preusure plate rivots on the drill press and it's all good Thanks JR. Randy...I never go to the library...I get all my facts from the internet
