I had a great time! It was quite a learning experience. Let's just say I got very used to seeing the blue/yellow flag. I was probably the slowest guy on the course, but in my defense, I also had the oldest/slowest car. I also really wanted to learn the line and braking points. Speed can come later. I was very glad I swapped brake fluid as I used my brakes way more than I ever thought would happen. My instructor, Jerry, was great. Very fun to drive with and informative. I was a little surprised when he signed me off to go on my own after 3 sessions with him. I just thought I would be with an instructor for the entire event. However, it was fun to get out there and try to apply what I learned. I would say the easiest part is the line, and the toughest part was going from brakes to gas in a corner. It's just not the way I've done it for decades.
Overall a great time with fun people. I'm already signed up for another 2 day event next weekend at Road America. BMWCCA is sponsoring Octoberfast. Can't wait!
Thanks again for all the great advice. It really helped to arrive prepared. SmileWavy
