Trouble shooting low idle.
Trouble shooting low idle.
I have a 1988 911 Cararra, the idle seems low at 725-750 RPM’s. Could the jets be gummed up, could there be a vacuum hose off somewhere? If the computer controls the idle what can I do to increase the idle to 900-950? |

Do a search on idle adjustment. You need to jump an electrical switch and then adjust the idle.
You have fuel injection, therefore you do not have jets per se, but rather injectors. If a vacuum hose was off, you would probably exhibiting "hunting" of the idle, rather than low idle.
