Question Suspension for a 993 TT

I have a friend with a 96 993 Twin Turbo who is looking to upgrade the stock suspension. So he is considering either PSS9's or the Cross set up. Does anyone have any experience with either of these suspension set ups? In your opinion which would be a better set up? The car is going to be used for street and for DE's. I appreciate any feedback.

Pari, while I have no personal experience, this is what I've found. Cross Suspension Project is actually made by JIC Magic Racing Project. They are made in Japan. They do quite a bit of advertising in the Import Drift scene. They are a farely new company. From the specs, I'd say the Bilstiens have the edge as far as adjustability. You'll also need to consider service after the sale. Bilstien has great customer service support and they make what they sell. I'm not sure if the Jic pieces are servicable or if customer support is availible.
Here is the site for JIC:

If it were my money, I'd go with a company that has history, which is Bilstien. Just my .02

Pari, there have been several threads like this in the 993 forum on rennlist. the Cross have gotten good reviews and are apparently of very high construction quality. Do some searching over there, though.

btw, what are those coil thingies? I thought all springs were a straight spring steel rod.

nother possibility, depending on intended use is H&R springs on Bilstein HD or Sport shocks, much cheaper, works great, just doesn't jave the flexibility of the PSS9 or JIC

Then there are Motons to consider at the other end of the price performance scale

If anybody has any questions about CROSS suspension, feel free to post them, and I'll try to have them answered ASAP. So far, JIC is off to a good start with this product line, and we're aiming to support it as best as we can.

I used the H&Rs and they were great. had no "collar" fitment issues like the PS9s and are alot cheaper. There are two types of H&Rs. the type Bill V mentioned and these... http://www.carnewal-europe.com/main.htm Click on suspension and then P93. Of course I dont know if Pelican sells, them, but if they do, buy them here!
