Most likely a scam. E-mail him and he'll probably tell you he is in London and the car is in New York and you can pay him thru escrow.com.

Leading them on is alot of fun. One guy kept e-mailing and e-mailing me but everytime I asked where I could see the car he would change the car's, or his, location. If I said I would go to NY to look at it he woudl tell me, oops I'm going to be in Florida. When I'd tell him I'd go to Florida, he would be in NC. I finally nailed him down to Palm Beach and told him I had a very trusted friend in Palm Beach who would go look at the car and pay him. I told him I really trusted my friend becasue he knew alot about Porsches and works for the FBI. I never heard from the guy again.

Work around craiglist or yahoo cars you'll find hundreds of highline cars listed for cheap prices, same old tired scam.

Anything that’s for sale or rent on the internet will have people trying to run this scam.

We had someone pull it on a rental property. They wanted to rent a place at the beach in the off season. Then the catch, they wanted to send a check for more then the price from their “client” and then have us wire them the balance.

Every single public for sale site on the net has these people trying this stuff no matter what the product or service is.
