Engine Tin - Question: Cover - Which?
Question is regarding the engine tin at that runs across the rear of the engine.
The PET for 1974 and 1980 years both show this as: PET 105-10 Item # 10 So, my 80 911SC will have: York type A/C compressor Heating air backdated to 1974 - No blower - hot air coming off the shroud left and right thru appropriate sockets to the SSI's As to the 'engine cover' - again - the long piece that is at the back of the engine, according to PET 1980 105-10-10: 911.106.085.02 80- SC 911.106.085.03 80- SC M559 [With Air Conditioning] 930.106.851.05 Turbo 930.106.851.07 Turbo M559 [With Air Conditioning] > What are the differences in the 4? > Which will work best with my York type A/C and brackets AND the 74 backdated heating? Esoteric question? Well....no, I need to replace the one I have: It's both rusted and appears to have been extensively whittled on. Help! Thanks! Jim

Jim,
I think you want the tin from a ’69-’71 911T/E/S: Engine cover, rear, compl. 901.106.085.05. It is the simplest and probably the most desirable. Best, Grady

Engine Tin - Question: Cover - Which?
Thanks - Grady~!
I'll run with that. Curious thing - according to Pelican, it's cheaper than all the others...of course - if they can truly get it may be another story. Jim
