B & B exhaust system - value ?

From a 1987 3.2 lit:

Got a very nice used B&B exhaust system sitting here.
Headers/heater boxes, single outlet muffler, muffler clamps and heater box pipe. What are these things worth?

Retail new is $2500 +
Value used is based on condition and whatever the market will bear. Condition of muffler (and if it is reinforced or not) will affect it.
Do you have oil line needed?

So far this unit looks pretty good. I can see the rh side inlet to the muffler was welded however I recall these welds always broke.
Good question on the oil line, Warpspd pointed that out too. I notice a line that was on the rh rear side of the engine that was touching the muffler, I recall moving this one up with a clamp last year. Don't know if it's a special line for this system. How can one tell?

I think b & b had a special metal line for the rubber S hose that
went to the oil tank

The headers have a good reputation.
The main problem is the EARLY mufflers lack the little reinforcement from the pipe to the muffler body. thats the only place that any one has to worry about. Updating the muffler by welding in tabs from the inlet/ outlets when you weld any cracks there will bring it up to date. Its pretty easy to update and permanantly fix it.
unfortunately most people only weld the crack instead of updating with reinforcement so those are the ones that say they dont like them....takes the same amount of time..
