New addition to the fleet
My wife has always complained about my Porsches but has wanted a convertable to drive on the nice days, so I just bought a 2000 BMW Z3. It is a very nice car with 46K mi, runs smooth like a BMW should and looks great, BUT in driving it, I realize that it is no Porsche.
Call me a snob or a homer, but I think the my 21 year old 3.2 is a way better drive for just about all aspects. The only thing the Bimmer does better is putting the top down and up. It is manual like my Cab, but you do not need to get out of the car to fold the top down or lift it up like I have to do in the 911.

That twincam 24 valves BIMMER engine isn't too shabby either. |
