Photo's of my new 911T

Well I made the plung and bought the 70 T I talked about last week. Thanks for the input. I still haven't made up my mind about making major changes (RS or RSR) or restore back to original. The car has matching numbers, one spot of rust the size of a quarter in the wheel well and some surface rust one the paint. The sun roof doesn't work, door pockets and the headliner need to be replaced. Seats are in good shape and engine runs sweet. Brought her home from Sarasota to Lakeland at 70 to 80 MPH and she ran great. I'll probably take a few weeks getting to know her and than make a decision. Anyone have strong feelings one way or another? Pros or cons

Stunner! Nice purchase. One vote here for original...numbers matching early cars (of any lineage, be it T/E/S) are becoming worth keeping that way...the clones can be made from the plentiful 74-89 cars...

Very nice. I support the original route. I love the wheels; didn't realize Porsche was still offering the perforated type in 1970. Very unique.

Best of luck whichever way you choose.

I have a 68 T that I used to struggle with the same question all the time. I have finally after 2 years decided to stay as original as possible but make upgrades like turbo tie rods etc.

Dave you have a great website. Lots of hard work. I'll be looking there for guidance.

Zachsbug I was thinking for doing some engine and suspension upgrades on mine but not sure if it hirts the value.

Oringinal as well, but you can make 'hidden' upgrades like suspension, brakes, engine mods, etc - but keep all the original parts/

I love the look of steel wheels on a narrow-body early 911.

Another vote for original, it's just too pretty of a car to change. I love the silver paint.

Nice car ! My vote is for original too.
I'd upgrade the suspension, TTR, all new bushings, shocks,
ball joints, you could also go with adj SC spring plates, corner
balance, lower & align. These mods. will greatly improve handling
without effecting "orig-value". Just did this to my E & it is
amazing the difference it made.
I have always liked the chrome 5.5's but I would put some
Deep6's on your car with a bit wider rubber say 205/60/15.
Have fun with it !

the wheels were std equip up to 73 I believe. Dealer numbers indicate that 90 something % were shipped with the "optional" Fuchs.
(14" Fuchs were considered the "comfort group" option because they were fitted with taller sidewalls than the 15")
not sure if the std wheel was chrome, silver, black, or body color.

Wow the car looks stunning.
To me it looks perfect as is. Wheels and all.
Just what I am in the market for.
I'm trying to find original paint, scratches, dents are okay
seen any.

Gorgeous. Thats a great color combo. Restore and enjoy. It'll be more valuable if its original.

Count me as another vote for original. Heck buy another one if you want to do all the modifications. There aren't many originals and less each month. My .02 ( Secretly my other cars fill my need to make changes, etc...)
