I'm not sure about the year that you have, and I don't have any wiring diagram in front of me, but if they are related, you may want to investigate the grounding. Since they are separate circuits, fuses, and switches, I can only conclude that if related, grounding is the issue. Cheers

VWCRASH,

For your head lights the following fuses are involved, namely fuses #5,6,7, & 8. Check the voltage from headlight switch down to the headlight buckets connectors. Somewhere along the line lies the problem.

For the wipers, check fuse #13 and do the same. From wiper switch to wiper motor connections.

I don't have the wiring diagram for a sunroof nor know which circuit it is. Just the same, trace the power supply from start of circuit to terminal. If you don't have a multi-tester, use a test light for power (voltage) check.

Sounds like a problem with ground to me.

Check the ground connection from the neg. cable to the body under the left fender.
Open and remove the bolt. Clean the ends and the area on the body. Use Vaseline or dielectric grease and re-tighten the bolt.
Remove pos. and neg. cable from the battery, use Vaseline on the posts and re-connect.

Check the battery Voltage:

Test battery at rest 12.5 V
test battery at idle 13.0-13.5
test at 2500+ RPM’s 13.5-14.5 MAX

How old is the battery?
