H4 install question

I know there is a lot written on boards on this topic but it is still not clear on a few things.

I have an 89 911 which I currently ordered (in the mail) two H4s to upgrade from the stock lights for brighter performance.

I will get the primered ring painted upon arrival, will it simply be plug and go when I install or do I need to do something with the wiring (new plug)? I am getting conflicting answers.

Your help is appreciated.

Ian

Do a search on the Sucro relays. These lights draw a lot more power which could burn out your swtich ovr time. Someone will have Marc's address, the relays are a nice product.

You will need adapter plugs for the headlight. You'll see what I mean when you remove your headlights and see the plug configuration is different. Go to any autoparts store and ask for VW headlight plugs.
Not all carry them, but you should have no trouble.
You can also order from our host.
