Angry I crashed my porsche...

This stinks....was driving back from the park today in NJ, weather forecast said just some sprinkles this morning, but of course it rained all darn day. Drove home on the highway in driving rain with no problem. Was just a few miles from home (which everyone always says is the most dangerous time). On a local road doing no more the 20-25 mph, had to make a sharp right, slowed down, started to make the turn, car just pointed straight crossed the double yellow and tagged an Explorer....Only had time to curse at the top of my lungs before impact...I'm fine as is the driver of the explorer....

Here's the road side pics, going to the body shop in the am tomorrow to get the full scope....fender was pushed back so far against the front left tire that I couldn't even turn the steering wheel...

Any initial thoughts? Is this fixable, I think I may have noticed that the passenger side door gaps are off....will confirm tomorrow and post more pics...

Argghhhh....

Glad every one is OK.

As far as fixable. Check the pedal cluster area. See if there is a crease. Also check the gap around the door and fender areas; especially around the mirror and windshield area.

Man, that is a bummer, I'm really sorry. Take the car to a frame guy, he can check the chassis and make sure it is still square. It would be pretty easy to pull it if it is bent. A new fender, bumper, hood?, and some lights. You are good as new. Check out the parts section of this BBS and there are plenty of people to help you out.

Adam - sorry to see the damage. Go with Jeremy's advice, and do check the classifieds. There were some SC front fenders floating around there about a week ago.

Good luck!

I hate to see another SC down.

It looks like you have an excuse to do some major fiberglass work.

If you need a front bumper that is dark blue just ask. you could probably get by without painting it for a while too.

Dood, sorry to hear about this!! I had a very similar incident in my SC, but it involved a telephone pole and a dead on hit front and center. Although the insurance company totalled the car (condition similar but worse than yours), damage to the tub was found to be minimal and the car is undergoing a transformation at TRE in North Hollywood at the moment and I hope to eventually buy the car back. So, get the car to a specialist, thrown it on a body jig and see what they say. Looks pretty fixable to me, though. Good luck!!

Well that stinks....but looking on the bright side.........You've got your fender bender out of the way and now the laws of averages dictate, that you won't have another for a long time ;-)

most importantly, you and everyone made it with out a scratch...

Adam,
That really sucks. I wish I had kept the bumper parts, so I can give them yo you.
I still have the front bumper shocks, front valence, and the rubber piece "smile" thet goes inbetween the bumper and hood.

All pieces are perfect and I am more than glad to give them to you.

Who has a fender, and bumper for Adam?

He needs to be ready for the FALL RUN.

This is awesome guys, thanks. I'm heading out in a few minutes to take a look...

No pics of the exploder, needless to say the damage was very light....
