La Junta time again
Colorado track junkies/Pelicanheads unite in La Junta this coming weekend for the Rocky Mt. PCA DE. Who is going down from Denver? Speedo (Lars) and myself are looking for folks to travel briskly south from Limon with us Friday pm. Unless we get company, it will be a parade of two 74 911s.
La Junta is a great track, not to be missed. This is what happened last May... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/220475-colorado-guys-anyone-going-la-junta-2.html#post1928611

Bill,
Thanks for posting. I’m going down with Pelican KobaltBlau to collect Rubbermaid Solution data. Bill Curnow just called and it looks like there will be a good turn-out. Anyone not registered should do so ASAP. If anyone hasn’t been to a DE, please call me. I’ll lead you through the process and help you have fun. Best, Grady gradyclay@hotmail.com 303-756-7308

I might possibly go down for Saturday only. Don't know yet for sure. I'm definitely interested in talking to Grady about the rubber ducky solution.

This one is going to be a tough one Bill. Should I pack my bags and go to Eastern Colorado or go to Maui. Hmmmm....... I think I've decided. Maui baby!!
Now the big question when I get there is.... Pool or beach? Have fun...see you at 2nd Creek!

Come on Craig! You shouldn't be wasting your money on frivolous vacations when you should really be saving up for Big Reds for the track beast!

Josh, after this month (October), Second Creek Raceway is no more. Maybe you need to see La Junta this weekend with our crew, definitely you will have more track time than the last SCR event. La Junta is fun little track and the local folks down there actually like seeing Porsche track junkies come and spend money there. Where else in Colorado can you get a room for about $38 a night?

Hmm, it looks like I have to see if I can either 1) change my plans, or 2) start pulling my motor this weekend because the season is over.

Josh,
Dig out the trailer and come to La Junta. Do you want to bring the tents? Keep your 911 together; there is a DE at Second Creek on the 22-23. Best, Grady

Clear cool autumn Colorado weather forecasted for this weekend makes for cool running Porsches.
Andy (KobaltBlau) the cheap motel in La Junta is the Travel Lodge. No frills but you are in La Junta for track thrills. Speedo punched out so we are blasting down the dry land wheat farms south of Limon solo. Thank goodness for my Valentine one. Decided to take my 72T instead of the racecar as the racecar is going to an 6 hour Enduro next weekend at PPIR. About to set out on a high speed run through nowhereland.

Great weekend, THANKS Alpine Mountain Region and the
City of La Junta. The event was perfect, the weather was perfect, the people were great, and everyone in La Junta made us feel like home. More images to come. Here is the event’s fastest tow car. Best, Grady |

Of course getting into the event was closely controlled. Only
the most noble of people could enter: and most nobel of marquis du cars could pass in the zones. We need to speak to the Gate Keeper as he was a little stiff. I suspect we will see him at future events, perhaps on (a) staff (verb or noun?) Best, Grady |

Of course some really fly.
