clear tail lights
Hi,
I am looking for lics of the clear tail lights that can be obtained for Carrera 3.2 911s. Pelican Parts doesnt seem to do these, but the previous owner of my car had some. Does anyone know where to get these from, and does anyone have a pic of how the rear of the car looks with the clear tails? Cheers |

If you change your car from the way Porsche designed it you are going to Hell!
(hey Mark, is that what you were looking for?) ![]() I think the clear looks very nice on a silver car. It helps make it 'disappear'. I think doing this on the front might be a better choice as it doesn't come into any legal gray areas.

There's a promo where you buy three Folgers cans, mail in the proof of purchase and you can get your choice of the clear tailights or the blue neon under car lighting kit.

I think you need to install the lamborgini door mod kit first.

try www.rennspd.com I think they have them
NOTE: the above suggestion does, in no way, imply that I approve of the use of such devices.

I'm no fan of clear taillights myself, but if porsche had used them on some racing model in 1971, one of you would probably have gone into production on them by now.
Differences of opinion make the world interesting.

How about clear ...... edges?
This is a work in progress. The black paint was chipping off so I removed the rest of it before painting. What do you think? Neither silver nor black. ![]() Sherwood |

Yellow lenses....aren't they French and require white flags to pop up on the fenders and a transmission with five reverse gears?

OK OK fellas,
Whats the issue with clear tails? Too rice? Ppl often make changes to their car. For instance I have a momo gear knob fitted to replace the factory bland one. And I have ordered a momo wheel. No to mention the custom exhaust the car has. Back to the tails - the reason for the enquiry is that I was detailing my current tail lenses on the weekend (repainting the black edging) and while the lenses were off the car, I could "visualise" how the rear end would look with clear lenses, and I thought it would look quite effective on a white car. The thing is if you do the rears I guess you need to replace the front and side indicators, which are currently orange. At this stage, I dont know if you want to depart from the retro aspect of the current look. RG5. |
