Why not cover lexan windows with pastic sheeting?
I've been wondering this for a long time and just got the courage to ask. I've read a number of threads here on Pelican that describe making and/or buying lexan windows. But everybody complains that they scratch too easily. Okay, that makes sense. But why doesn't anyone just glue some 2mil or 3mil clear plastic to the outside to prevent scratches? I just applied some of this stuff to the fog lights on my 944 for this very reason - lots of companies sell it. So why not do it for lexan?
