Wow!! What a beautiful job you did with the conversion. Very nice. Btw, your car looked pretty nice in it's original condition too.

Yea, I noticed the planters on the windows too. You get a big bucks car restoration. Your wife gets planters.

That is just absolutely beautiful!!! Are those Lindsey 17's on the rear? And what's up with all those extra plug wires?

Guys

Thanks for all the compliments on the car. It's a 25 year dream come true for me to build one of these. I remember being at college in '73 and watching the frat boys tool up the hill to the frat houses in their early 911's. It was the same year the RSR won the Daytona 24 hrs (along with Sebring and the Targa Florio).
I've been studying these cars and dreaming ever since. I've tried to build it to replicate a real RSR as much as practically possible with concessions like 16" rims and PMO's.

The muffler is a custom replica of a Ralley silencer (see page 138 in the first edition of Bruce Anderson's 911 Performance Handbook.) I bought it along with the RSR headers from Scott at Auto Associates. It's really trick. With the caps on, it dumps out the side with the discharge pointing downward and somewhat hidden behind the rear valence. I'll post some close-up pics when I get the chance.

The front wheels are 16X9 Fuchs. The rears are custom 3 pc construction made with Fuchs centers and BBS inner and outer rims. The tires are Hoosier 275 rear and 245 front. I had them grooved with a vintage tread pattern by Bob Woodman.

The dizzy is the original Bosch from the 3.0 core motor modified for twin plug by Jerry Woods.

The fan is the original from the 2.4 CIS motor. Auto Associated painted it to replicate the original OEM finish.

BTW....My wife has been a gem all throughout this project. She's been incredibly patient and seldom complained with all the long hours in the garage.

If anyone is interested in more detail, PM me and I can send a parts list.

Great car. Wouldn't it be something to see all the RSR's on this board in one place, say Watkins Glenn, VIR, or Road Atlanta.
