3.2 swap: tach and speedo
Im swapping a 3.2 motor and a tranny from an SC into my '72. Do I need a later tach and speedo? Or can I keep my stock tach and use only the electronic speedo?
TIA |

I think you'll need the electronic speedo to be compatible with the electronic pick-up on the SC tranny. Whether you need the tach changed out will depend on what type of ignition system you'll be using to trigger the tach. On my RSR clone conversion, I used MSD and had North Hollywood Speedometer convert the tach to be compatible with the MSD. I'd call them and ask their advice on the tach.

We tried to dial this down but IIRC, the old thread on it never got beyond '73.5 car - ok; '71 car not. I'd go ahead and try it.
Looks like you are making progress on the swap - Good Luck! PS - Hope some of the evacuees finally bring BTR some decent restaurants! My sister lives there still and tells me the congestion is horrendous.
