915 - How do you install new carirer bearings?
This is a follow-up on the "Played Now I Have to Pay" thread.
I've got my new Pelican carrier bearings for the ring gear. The shop manual I have for the SC does not cover this area. They stop just short of it with a statement that "going further requires special tools and skills and is beyond the scope of this book". What the ???? kind of crap is that? Anyway, it looks like the bearings need to be pressed off and on. The races are an issue. How do you remove the race that is on the passengers side of the housing? That's gotta be a tough one to get at. Thanks ![]()
