As I mentioned in an earlier reply, I have to smog my 3.6 conversion within a couple of weeks.
I can't go into details but the car will pass......that then gives me 2 years to deal with the referees [the guys with a brain]. The trick will be to not put it off, thinking I've got 2 years.
Just go straight to the referees after a major change with your vehicle. It will save the struggles with the desk jockies playing hot potato with your case. You should just appeal straight to the referees. Don't deal with the numbskulls.

P.S. the 3.6 conversion is worth the hassles, isn't it? Did you do any suspension mods?

It used to be [up until a year ago] that when your car turned 30, it was now smog exempt. That is why your '75 must now meet smog and there is no chance of EVER having it smog exempt [in the state of California]. Hold on to those pre '74 cars!
State officials even declaired [publicly] that getting older cars off of the road was their main objective!
Oh well, the price of living, huh?

Sorry...that's wrong. 75s are exempt. It's the 76 that got screwed.
