True about resale . But if he keeps the car he will still enjoy it just as much with a nicely tuned 2.7 . But I do understand your point.

Alright....

I guess I have to get a SC now just to see what the 74 2.7 setup would be like. And, I could set an example of what you could do or what you should never do.
Instead of being "Munson'd" in the middle of no where... You guys will refer to 911's as being "Stephen'd"! hahaha

I wouldn't necessarily set out to find an SC roller, just a clean title and no rust. If you are running super trapps on your 2.7 it sounds like you don't have problem with the whole hot-rod/bastard thing anyway.
...I've got to ask; Where exactly do you plan on doing this "coastal driving" planning on cruising up and down the sea-wall??? We don't exactly live near Hwy 1. JZ

I'm looking for a 74 to 82, not just an SC. There are some roads towards Victoria & towards Corpus. It was more of an expression. We just love getting out in driving the country side.
Yeah, I don't care if it's a bastard. I started this thread asking what all was involved and it ended up being "if I should". But, I do appriciate the advice and comments. Good or bad. It makes me look at things from different angels.

Work in Progress

One thing to note while looking for a roller is that sometime in 1976 the started to galvanize the bodies. So ideally you might want to look for a 77 and up to be sure that you have a galvanized body. If you plan on keeping the car it might be something that you should consider. Houston can get pretty humid, right?
Anyway good luck with the project. I did not mean to get a debate about the 3.0 vs 2.7 going. I just knew that one has less hp's than the other, that's all I meant by underpowered.
