Question Carfax - Errors? Possible?

I have been in the market for another car, been reading a lot, has anyone heard of CarFax having errors in them?

thanks

I have 3 cars and every one of them has errors in the Carfax reports. One of them was nearly totalled and Carfax shows no accidents at all. I think it's worth getting a carfax report, but you can't trust it if it comes out clean. Get a PPI.

Well, they can only tell you what's reported to them.. insurance claims, inspection visits, title transfers... so they're not very accurate, just a general history before a certain date.

so it seems that an error claimed would be reasonable?

james.....the carfax on my 911 is all screwed up, says there is an odometer descrepency. turns out when i had my tires mounted at a local p-car dealer they enter my milage in as XX,XXX in their system when they didn't even have the car in the first place, when asked why they did this they couldn't give me an answer and i'm screwed.
i'm still working on getting something from them to show it was their mistake but people are morons and i'm tired of dealing with them.

I always thought car makers didn't use the letter O in VINs to eliminate any confusion.
