very nice. tell your wife she's got a great attitude.

I almost bought my wife a mint '73S about 8 yrs ago the only change was it was modified from it's original sportomatic to a 915 box and the fuchs were painted white to match the paint.

11,500 was the price.

That's the same situation in my house. The wife has a 66 Corvette 'vert and I've got the 911. Sadly, the majority of onlookers comment on the Corvette and not the "Porsh".

JP911,

You're exactly right. There are places I have taken the 911 hundreds of times w/ no comment, and when I took the vette everyone oohed and ahhed.

The cars are completely different; the vette is such a boat and the 911 handles unbelievably for a car of that era. The 911 does a great job @ keeping up with the newer more modern cars on the track, they were ahead of their time.

I do like to occasionally take the Corvette for a cruise, but less so since my wife picked up vanity plates: GRLSDRM (stands for girl's dream). People who look at it and see me driving must think I'm either arrogant as hell or... well who knows what else they may think.

Alex-
I'm doing pretty good. The engine project continues to crawl and has slowed down even more so as Bert is now in his busy season building engines for Daytona.

My wife wants vanity plates also. I'm resisting. I am trying to talk her into original 1964 plates.

I'm installing original 1972 plates next month on the 911.

Like the one below.
