'87 930 turbo dies at an intersection....
OK here is a testiment to the board. I am driving my new.. old '87 930 ( 25k mi) and the cars dies at a light. No panic as I had started with AAA ( my first time ever buying their svc).. anyway make the call they schedule me and I start to wait... yet I say hey wait a minute I remember the carry the spare rule from the forum.. you see the car would fire momentarily so I deduced that it was fuel starved.. anyway I didnt have the spare but I decided to swap out the air conditioning Red relay.. as my car has two fuel pumps and two relays for the pumps the first swap didnt allow the car to start. The second swap worked and the car came to life and ran like she was supposed to... the officer who had pulled over to assist was just about ready to strike the first flare... said now if only my husband was so adept....anyway call AAA back and canceled the tow..promptly ordered up a $100 worth of Pelican parts -- two fuel pump red relays among other things... and the rest is history.. This forum rocks for us DIYers...
Now if I could find a manual for the 930 beast. I bought both Bentleys books 78-83 and 84-89 ... the 78-83 has the CIS ( 84-89 is for DME). I though the newer book would be more appropriate for the wiring schematics and it doesnt look like it... any ideas??
