3.6 Cams and Valves Upgrade
The 964 based V-Ram engine is coming out this winter to get the dreaded leaky cylinder to head issue resolved. Of course, a displacement upgrade would be awesome, but is not in the budget
![]() However, upgrading the cams and redoing the heads IS in the budget! So my questions are: Worth doing the 993 RS Intake valves if no displacement change is made? (I think yes) What cam can I upgrade to that will still pass emissions for the 1987 model year? RS or ??? Chris Making the best of the leaks... |

RS intake valves are only worthwhile if the cams are changed.
RS cams will pass 50-state smog testing.
