What are these worth?

I know they are early style heat exchangers but any idea of what years they will fit and what they are worth? I was thinking of using them on a 76 3.0 coversion but not sure they would be as good as SSI's.

Hmmm, not sure exactly what in the world those are??!! They are not stock early style HE's unless someone has cut off part of the heater shrouding and modified them.

Just stole this photo from a post from Speeder (Denis) and it shows a pair of SSI's, and they had more or less the same heat ducting as the early style of HE's. You can see that there is a lot of the actual duct missing.

Also, the ducts were the air from the engine go in are very interesting. Do you have any close up photos of this area?

Your HE's would be a lot easier to install without the full length ducts, but also would not produce anywhere near as much heat.

My guess is the bottoms of the metal shrouds rusted so someone cut them back to good metal and then welded on openings for the heater hoses. Not going to get much heat out of those.

So, are these worth putting on my 78 3.0 SC motor that is going in my 76 or would I be better just getting some SSI's? If not worth putting on my 3.0 are there other applications that would work well for some one else?
