Does leather staining work for door panels?

I want to make my door panels look new again. Does staining or painting them hold up long term and does it come out even?
Any suggestions.

Guys i really need input before i strip down my door panels. Should I replace them with new leather or get them dyed or stained?

Do a search on "leatherique." A board member dyed cork seats to a lighter tan and they look great. I've also seen BMW seats re-dyed black and they looked great as well.

I've never done it but it seems if you buy the right stuff and take your time the results can be great.

I sprayed my leather door panelsand rear seats with a dye and they have looked great for a year now.I think they tend to show marks from abrasion a little easier because the color isn,t very deep but that may be their only fault. I don,t think it will hold up very well on the seat surfaces.

How is the dye job holding up? Did you do the seats? From what color? How long did it take? Cost of the project?
