Kind of hard to see, but it's just a flat aluminum sheet that is cut to roughly the same contour as the front bumper and sticks out to almost directly under the higher part of the bumper. The sheet was bolted on to the car and then trimmed. We wrapped some red racers tape around the leading edge to make it more noticeable and eliminate cut ankles. I still hit my shins on the tow hook sometimes. Ouch.

BTW:

I answered my own question from a bove regarding the suck. It is a result of generating a vacuum from above, and it rang a bell -the concept of an air foil (or airplane wing) is at the heart of it. And HP is very important factor in the equation for success.

BTW: I have seen a 996 (in Florida-The company name sounds like Patriotti) that some of you have seen too. The splitter/diffuser/floor pan I saw on that car caused me to consider it on earlier car.
