tranny engine seperation

i have a 3.3turbo bolted to a tranny that has a serial # starting with 915. how do i seperate the two. i have taken all the nuts off the studs and it wont pull apart. i have read the haynes manual and it said to put bolts in the flywheel rivets to release tention. i have found these rivets but they are not threaded. how can i get the two apart?

The Haynes manual is talking about a different tranny. The book is pretty much useless. It's too thin to even use as a wheel chock.

The shaft that sticks out the bottom must have all the levers on it removed. (This is easier done before the engine+trans are removed from the car.)
Once the levers are removed, the shaft can be turned (CCW looking from the top of the tranny) to get the fork away from the throwout bearing.
Then the trans should seperate easily.
