Opinons? Price Check?

Im looking for a seasonal DD 911 for the non-winter months and as a possible foundation for a DE car. Here is a candidate. I would like the opinons of the Pelicanites. THANKS!

German-market car, updated and imported in ‘88 with full EPA/DOT documentation, about 115k km (70k mi.), regiatered and driven regularly, current MA title and inspection sticker, emissions exempt (age).

Rare Petrol Blue w/black interior; unmolested original Euro-spec SC 3.0 (non-catalyst exhaust, no air pump, Euro halogen headlamps/bezels with city lights, instruments in km, no SC badge, no tail spoiler, no sunroof, pinstripe cloth seat inserts, black headliner, manual windows and locks) but with rare, fully functional air conditioning; driven only about 12,000 mi. since 1995.

Solid interior, no dash cracks, great headliner, sun visors, door panels, etc. Original manuals, tool kit, collapsible spare. No meaningful rust or underside damage; solid jack spurs and rockers.

Common SC upgrades including oil-fed Carrera chain tensioners, airbox pop-off valve, K&N filter, SSI stainless steel heat exchangers, short-throw shifter; Optional larger/wider (7&8") 16" Fuchs alloys with black Porsche-logo center caps and nearly new Dunlop SP Sport D40 M2 Z-rated tires; Blaupunkt New Orleans CD125 detachable face radio with in-dash CD player, recent Die-Hard battery, recent upgraded rotary AC compressor (recharged 6/04).

This is a 28-year-old car with nearly original paint; it makes an excellent impression and its overall appearance is very good, but the black trim is a little faded, and there are plenty of chips, scratches and small trouble spots; would need repainting to be perfect. Driver’s seat has a failed seam on one bottom bolster that should be repaired; needs one new heater cable and some cosmetic TLC.

Not a creampuff but a low-mileage, reliable driver; nice example of a simple, early, lightweight SC; always garaged, seldom driven in rain, never been on a track. Reasonably serious inquiries only, please. $12,800.

Depends completely on a PPI. If the engine and tranny are O.K. seems to me price is just a tad high but probably negotiable. Adjust downward accordingly if mechanicals need work, esp the engine.
