Are all electic flag mirrors the same for different years?
 

I'm looking for a drivers side electic flag mirror for my 88 930 cab. Are all of the different years the same?

p.s. I'm also curious on the rear "PORSCHE'" reflector for this car - which models have the same one as the 88 930?

later ones like yours have a twist ring that holds the mirror glass to the motor. early ones had 3 pins on the glass and popped into plastic receptacles on the mirror motor.

I'll go out on a limp here. I believe the SC and Carrera mirror housings are the same. However, there may be differences with the motors (and mounts) and definitely with the wiring (year dependent).

The rear reflector is likely the same as the later reflector started in 87 (?). These mounted differently and PORSCHE was less prominent.

The bases are different too ... model specific..like if they were intended for 944's vs 911's...

We got cought out on this "nuance" once trying a repair a car....

I can see a difference between 911 to non-911 or side to side? I find it unusual that the doors are different between the later 930 and Carrera.

Clarification...I'm saying the "flag style" mirrors were fitted to cars other than 911's. There were flags for 928's and 944's too, and the lower-most piece..the base.. is different. I can't recall if the base was different at some point within the 911 run... a check with PET would be advisable.
