Muffler Bracket?

Finally have time to mount this today and still cannot figure out the muffler bracket location. The exhaust is back dated and has the old style heat exchangers on it. I purchased a mb muffler and had the muffler before this hanging off the rear engine mount now I want to put it on the right way and I have a bracket that went on the old style banana muffler but there are not bolts that line up with the holes on the bracket. The only thing I can think to do is drill new holes in it and mount it on the bottom of the engine mount. Does any one have any pictures of how this is supposed to mount? Thanks Also the mount has a crease in it that is supposed to fit in where there was a seem on the old style muffler mb's mufflers don't have this seem so should I just strap it on and crank up the pressure on the straps?

Muffler Bracket

I make one that is specific to back dating the exhaust system. It attaches to the rear engine mount and supports the heat exchangers and the muffler. It is made out of T-6 6061 or can also be had in stainless.

I found a picture where the bracker mounts on the bottom of the engine mount and that bracket is differn't then the one I have. the one I have would mount some where on top. But there are no holes or bolts that line up for this. It was on there before so it must mount some how so does any one know how this mounts and can I install it with the engine in the car?

Bracket

This does not require the engine to be removed. It picks up the two bottom engine mount bolts. Send me your e-mail and I will send a cad drawing

there should be just a simple stamped piece of metal (oem muffler bracket) that bolts to the engine support console and with that There should be an indent on the muffler and once it is mounted(bolted onto the exchangers) then you can put the band starps around the muffler and the muffler bracket and tighten it down. if you need a pic of the muffler mount let me know I will go take a pic. Good luck and let us know how it works. Have you run it yet??
