Help Mounting Harness Inboard Mount

I have a 1993 911. I put in momo racing seats. I used after market slider tracks and track frame to get my seat lower so i didn't hit my helmet on the roof. Now the problem. I am having problems mounting the inboard mounting eye for the harness. I used a piece of angle iron mounted to the inboard rear seat mount to mount the stock seat belt in place. That worked great. I figured I would just put the 7/16" x 20 eye bolt through the angle where i mounted the stock belt recepticle. Then I would have the best of both worlds. The problem is the eye hits the inside of the seat and I can not move it any closer to the center counsel. I am stumped. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks for the help.

Not sure if I undestand the problem but.....

If you don't use an eye bolt and just "flat" mount the harness on top of the stock belt using the origional bolt, you should have enough clearance. If you can't get enough thread you can get a slightly longer bolt.
You won't be able to easly remove the inboard belt but you can just tuck it under the seat.
Hope this helps......or maybe I missed the point entirely!!

I understand the issue with the inside seat belt attach point but don't understand the eye hitting the inside of the seat.

I had a similar issue but the eye was hitting the heater housing on the center tunnel. I used a piece made by Brey Krause and was able to get the eye closer to the seat.

Brey Krause makes some pieces that will allow clip on harnesses but are less bulky than eye bolts.
Here's the piece I used.

Here's what may work for you to replace your eye bolt.

Here is what I did

To keep from subjecting the mounting point to angled forces, I mounted the waist strap harness to the rear bulkhead with re-enforcement on the backside. I found that mounting them to the sides would be more difficult. I used the 7/16 "u" mounting bracket.....and it only cost me 12 bucks! I dont know if this would work for your application...but its my 2 cents.
