Arrow Paint code? Please help ID this color!

I'm in the middle of smoothing the rear bumper and need to source some paint to repaint the bumper.

I checked out paintscratch and ordered Alpine white, "damn it looks like it" I says.

Nope, no go. I did a search and a few pics show cars that look very similar. Bamboo Biege, Cashmere Beige and Chiffon White are possibilities.

The numbers on the id plate (driver's door jamb) reads 132-9-2

Please anyone......help id this color! Here are a few pics.

PS: I MIG aluminum welded all the holes shut, located the centers of the plugged holes, drilled and tapped the plugged holes, inserted aluminum studs part way, leaving 1/8''shy of the top and then plug welded the studs in the threaded holes.

The bumper shock.......I cut the studs flush and drove out the studs, drilled out the holes 1 size larger and voila!

Now I just need to do the fill work and PAINT!

Thanks

132 is Ivory. If you look here: http://www.elferhelfer.com/farben.htm under the 1972/73 colors you will see a sample.

Yep, paintscratch has Ivory listed as 132, it's not listed in the '80 colors.

I'm kinda puzzled. If the color shows in the '72 chart then how does Porsche paint it that color in '80.

Harry, thanks a million.

(Other opinions are welcome)

Mike,

You may want to take a (small) part to the dealer parts counter and ask to see is color chip book to match and verify the color. The parts guy at Sunset Porsche (in Oregon) was very helpful to me in verifying my paint code when I was looking for touchup paint.

Interesting question. Paint to sample/special wishes? I wondered the same thing when I went P-car shopping last year. I found a Carrera from '84 that looked like Ivory (didn't go so far as to check the paint code decal in the front trunk), but didn't find that color listed in my Red Book for that model year. It had enough little rock chips in the hood to look like it hadn't been repainted (at least any time recently).

duh... I realize that but was just suggesting that a trip to HIS local P-car dealer may be worthwhile.

I've been trying to figure out what the original color of my '79 930 is: The code on the door jam is: 184-9-3. Any clues?
Keith

Thanks for the help, I ordered code 132 Ivory so we'll see how that looks when I get it.

If anyone needs a can and a half plus a touch up pen of Alpine white, code L90E let me know, I;ll make you such a deal!

Cheers
