quick pedal cluster issue!
I am redoing my pedal cluster. I hate that roll pin!!!
I have an issue with reassembly that hopefully someone can advise me with the solution before I attempt to reinstall the cluster. The clutch pedal sits all the down with no load on the clutch spring. The clutch spring (on the right side of the assembly when facing forward) appears to pull the clutch pedal backwards rather than forwards. It looks somewhat like this: ![]() I have already put the roll pin back in and rather not pull it back out. Any help?????

Thanks. She's going in the car. It just seemed kinda strange, that's all. Why is it counter-intuitive??

One more thing are you going to clean up that rod for the MC, or did you do that already. Seems like alot of crud that could cause problems

Now, I don't know how the helper spring on the 915 works, but that may very well accomplish what the pedal cluster doesn't on the early cars and 914s. |

bfrenz, actually that is the photo from Wayne's tech article. I think my master cylinder is severely corroded (even though the brakes work great) and I am going to replace that as well.
