If you sandblast yourself with silica media, WEAR A RESPIRATOR religiously. You don't want to f#ck with silicosis. Look it up...

I still would cut and replace. Much of the areas are not visible and your amateur welds will not be seen. I'd rather have amateur welds than professional rust. ;) Dennis' work is a great example! :D
