Agreed. I probably won't see mine for another couple of days. Maybe the mailman takes it home for a day or so before he delivers it...

COOL! I got mine today too. Congrats Matteo, Keith, etc. Great article. Seeing the car in person made it all the more special. Nice to hear descriptions of some very cool roads too. My Grandmother lived in Clatyon, GA for many years when I was younger. It did seem like we stepped back in time every time we visited.

congrats Matteo! I read the article, very nice! Kudos to you, Zuffenhaus and the other contributors. It didn't mention Peter Dawe, unless I missed that. Has the eagle landed in the UK so you can do your own first-hand evaluation? Doug

I have not seen the article yet. I spoke to the writer (Bob Chapmann) and he was very very excited abt the car. One of the things he liked the most was the note of the exhaust (and he didn't really push the car past 7,400rpm as the motor was new). I am still waiting for my copy of the magazine. I do not know if Bob did write it in the article but I would not have engaged in this project without the Pelican Forum. Cars like BBII, Tom's, Doug's and Rdane's, Scruffy, Porsche Doc's creations etc all gave me an inspiration. Plus they showed me it could be done. Then again I was super fortunate to have guys like Keith and Aaron around the corner. So really thanks everybody for having taken part to the ride and for your suggestions. The car is not here yet. I do not want to look at the date of the 1st post on the thread.... It will be my Xmas present! | ||

Teo: Great car and article. I've always loved the IROC. Sorry to be a wise guy, but after reading the article I'm confused. What part of the wreck was reused? It sounds pretty much like build from scratch.

I have to say that it has been so, well, cool to have followed this thread through the interminable twists and turns - and to open the latest Excellence Magazine to see the Mexico Blue beauty in all its glory! I found myself showing the pictures to other friends and saying "See that? See that? I know that guy!!! ... Well okay, I don't know him, but I sure as h*ll know that car!" What a trip, what a saga, what a pleasure to watch the story unfold. Mateo - thank you for the vicarious thrills. You got some serious auto-motivating a-coming! Cheers -
