Loren,
I guess you have forgotten getting your hands slapped both here and at Rennlist. As I remember you have been banned for this behavior at both boards. Posts that were deleted by moderators and threads that just disappeared into the abyss an Rennlist. I have asked so many times for your data on this subject and it has never been produced. As far as the 10.3 pistons that is not going to happen. Changed what I am going to do. And if you would have ever happened to read Waynes rebuild book you would see that this is a top recommendation from Wayne himself. You can have as many posts as you like but most of those are telling people how ignorant and stupid they are, doesn't count for much. Loren, maybe you should do some reading up on what Porsche did with their engines. Maybe you didn't know this but: As far as the 10.3 Mahle PC's you have just called Porsche engineers idiots since they used them in the ROW Carrera 3.2 cars. The fuel reqiured by Porsche 92 US octane 96 European octane also using single plug, no knock sensors and pump gas. So if it was good for Porsche it should work for my car. Porsche engineers themselves changed to more agressive fuel maps in the later Carrera then again why would Porsche change a perfectly engineered product that they designed, maybe because they knew it could be better Hmm Interesting concept. The wires that came out were the original 1988 wires, they were shot. The Magnacor wires that I purchased were $70.00 less than what the original Beru wire prices were, so how do you figure I wasted money? You don't have anything credible to give on the performance chips so it's on to the personal attacks like above. Anyone who does a search on chips or you will see your agenda with chips. When will we see your data and not a reference to a study that is years old and doesn't show who the manufactures are. Pretty meaningless stuff just like most of your posts. ![]()

I am just looking forward to getting a nice 993 someday. Until then my stock 82 will be enough fun for me, chip or no chip.

I'd imagine for your '82, it's gonna remain "no chip."

Ed,
Have continued to call him on the nonsense about the chip issue, 2 years now. He has done this to others. The moderators have deleted posts that he has done like this before. Scary is right. I am so used to seeing this behavior from him that it didn't bother me at all. ![]()

[bold]He also will not answer the following question:[/bold] Have you (Loren) ever tried (unsuccessfully) to design and market a chip of your own? regards, Steve

WOW did I stir up a hornets nest or what!!! But after reading most of the posts on others "experience" with chips I kinda expected it.
That's what keeps this board going, sharing our own "experience" along with our knowledge and opinions. It's the "experience " and knowledge that are most informative on tech issues such as the chip. The opinions are welcome, and are the most revealing about ouselves, what type of persons we are, and how well we play with others. I try everyday to stay out from under the dark clouds that make me hard to live with. It's much better out here in the Sonshine, it makes me smile and makes me play well with others. ![]() Thanks to everyone, I hope to finish off the tank of 87 octaine today and refill with the good stuff and see how much more fun my "1988 PORSCHE 911 CARERRA TARGA" will be to drive. The Son is shining om me and I hope HE's shinging on you also. (please no heated discussions on the Son) ![]()

For fear of starting another chip thread (LOL) I just wanted to say that I too just installed my new steve wong chip in my 88' and wow what a difference it made.
The PO had installed an Autothority chip (I was never real happy w/it compared to a stock chip), and I have read so much about Steve's chips for so long now, that I finally went and got one. I had some LM-1 logfiles to show Steve on what the other chip was doing and how my car was running...well he took it from there and WOW what a difference.
