What is this? 72 911T
I have included a pic of an unknown component in my front trunk. What is it? I think it is a part of the optional auxiliary heater but I really have no idea.
![]() Off topic, I finally reinstalled my pedal cluster and finished my 'while I was in there' projects (painted pedal cluster, painted belly pan, cleaned up master cylinder, cleaned up floor boards, etc., etc., etc.) and started my baby up last night for the first time in over a month. The -15 C (5 F) weather did not help her start up smoothly-- I'm sure the neighbors loved the 5 loud backfires she delivered! but she ran great once she warmed up. The front trunk is in the process of a minor resto-- the old style Porsche batteries left white residue all over the pan. Thankfully, no rust formed but I plan on taking care of any problems sooner rather than later. Check out the pic of my new gold lettering. It looks much better than the black on black lettering that it replaces. All comments welcome.
