930 seat removal ???
As a winter project, I am in the process of removing my seats to check out the condition of the pan.. I've already noticed the PO had apparently jacked the car up by placing the jack directly on the pan, and I have a hump behind BOTH front seats about 4-5 inches high (sigh) I think removing the seats would give me the best view of the problem, and how to attack it. The passenger seat is raised so far in the back that I can't even slide the seat forward or back..... no idea how to get to the bolts fastening the seats in... I've already broken the seat release handle off trying to get the *$#% thing to move..... ANY help appreciated

I've only done it to non-turbos, but the only luck I have had is to undo the front two bolts then move the seat forward as far as it could possiblly go then unscrew the rears. Not being able to move the seats, I really don't know what I would do. Best of luck.

Thanks for the info -- I cant get it to budge - very frustrating I can see the "gizmo" (pardon the technical term) that locks into the holes on the rail but i dont know how to get it to open

You should have 6mm allen head bolts on top of the seat rails. It might be possible to access them by snaking your hand under the seat and using the short end of a L-shaped metric allen wrench. If you have a stereo amplifier bolted under the seat, removing that may give you the access you need, and bones of rubber will help.
Another possibility is to move the passenger seat forward by having someone sit in it and release the lock while another person sits in the back seat and pushes with their legs. If you can get the passenger seat forward, you might have enough room to swing a small but heavy hammer and take the dent down enough that the seat will move forwards and backwards. In any case, it will be a real PITA! Good luck.

Make sure you have nice sharp ( new) 6mm allen wrenches...and make sure to seat them into the holes as far as possible....
Even with "access"..imagine the problem you'll have if you round-out the hex...with the "rail" up and around the cap screw head.....ugly !! - Wil
