sc and carrera rear brakes
Is it possible to fit carrera rear rotors on an SC and retain the smaller SC calipers?
I'm assuming a bit of grinding might be required to get sufficient clearance with the rotor. I'm trying to avoid fitting the larger carrera calipers and balance valve thanks

What do you have for front brakes?

Front brakes are carrera discs and calliper with our hosts scoop type cooling kit. So looking for a bit more capacity in the rears!

Have you considered a more aggressive pad? Lots cheaper....

But you don't need the larger Carrera rotors in the back anyway.

Correct, zero need in the rear. A complete waste of money.
Try Pagid yellows in front and blacks in the back.

I have just updated to the carrera fronts and cooling kit. Before the addition of the upgrades the car was running standard SC brakes, Motul 600 fluid, Ferodo DS3000 front pads and oem Porsche rear pads.
Braking performance was very good except for one warped rear rotor. This was a zimmerman disc which was replaced with porsche oem rotor manufactured by ATE which cured the porble for a while. During my last track day the brakes started to vibrate again when they got hot, which I supected to be another warpred rear rotor. Upon checking rotor runouts all were good except one rear rotor running out .002" So I was thinking bigger rotors to get over the problem, would just changing the pads help? or is there a more fundamental problem here? thanks

I'd figure out why that one rear brake is working so hard and warping the rotors. Could it be dragging a little?

A warped rear rotor is really unusual.
And get a F/R pad set that works together better than what you currently have. Give it a temp check left to right with an IR temp gauge gun

I have Carrera M calipers in the rear and 944 T calipers on the front of my 1982 SC. Works well!
